What sort of lists can I create?
Any. You can create and search any list, they are simply text files. You create the lists, we’ll make them smart.

What advantage do I get for keeping my lists on alwayspages?
Your lists are intelligently indexed and searched based on the sound of words. A search for “marc” will also find “mark”. However, the real power comes from attaching “views” to your list. A view extracts information from your list then displays it in useful ways. For example, you can easily extract contact numbers and dates.

As these are plain text files, you gain absolute clarity and simplicity. There is no hidden data and no lock-in. There is no obscurity and you don’t need to convert your file from one format to another, it remains highly readable and usable end-to-end.

What views are there?
There are views for books, events, friends, price lists and more. This is just the start, your suggestions are most welcome.

Are my lists private?
Yes. By default your lists are for private viewing only. However, you can publish your lists by attaching them to your online business card. More services are planned for the future and your suggestions are welcome.

What is the “Explore” view?
This neatly formats your list for easy viewing and allows you to check the integrity of your list.

What are skins?
They are simply a way to help you group your lists.

Yes, everything in the citrus group appears on the right as a shortcut.

Can I use my lists offline?
Yes. To download your list, select “Edit” followed by “Update List and Download Copy”. You can then edit your list in a text editor such as notepad. Later you can copy-and-paste it back or you can create a new list by using the upload option.

Are these lists based on a technical standard?
Yes. The underlying technology is called YAML (rhymes with “camel”), it has been adapted to suit your needs.
